Bertie was unwanted and abandoned by his owners in Gedling and taken in by our charity. After some time spent reconditioning him, Bertie was test ridden in order to find him a suitable forever home.
He was rehomed by Louise and her daughter in 2016 and has a very happy life. Bertie is a very special boy and has bought both Louise and her daughter much success having represented South Notts Pony Club at both show jumping and eventing area events and also had many wins out at cross country competitions. In 2017 he was also reserve champion at the Equestrian Life Championships and has also won at the Equine Sports UK Championships at Arena UK.
Bertie now has found a love for the blood hounds and he and Louise spent the winter season with them enjoying the country side. Bertie is a truly loving horse and has become a huge part of the family.
Thank you for your support.
As a not for profit charity, we rely enormously on the generosity of horse and pony lovers to provide financial backing for the work that we do. None of our volunteers take a wage from the charity and so every penny that we receive goes into our operation to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abandoned, sick and injured horses and into providing educational support for horse and pony owners.
